We can create a epic in jira just like we create a defect.Epics are high level requirements in agile scrum model of software development

In Epic we can provide all the same fields we normally provide in defect or any other kind of task in jira like Summary,description,reporter comments etc.

We can then create a user story as well in Jira. We follow the same steps as in creating a epic and then we once the user story is created we can link it to the epic we created before by clicking the 3 dots on user story page and clicking link.
